March Meeting: Curriculum Show & Tell!

For those of you already making plans for next school year (as well as for those of you who haven't even thought about it until just now), TEACH has designed our March meeting just for you! We hope you will join us for our March 29th "Curriculum Show & Tell" Meeting at 7pm.

You could go online and order books, or even go to a convention to see what's available, but we've gone a step further and invited a number of experienced homeschool moms to showcase their family's individual style of "school." Each of our Guest Moms will have a table set up with their favorite curricula, books, and resources on display. You are invited to browse the tables, look at the resources, get ideas, and ask questions.
Wouldn't it be great if you could see a curriculum or resource in person, flip through it, and get feedback from someone who has actually used it? And imagine doing all of this in an environment where nothing is being sold and there is no pressure to buy or join!

Also at the meeting:
  • Spring Field Trip Sign-ups
  • The TEACH Library
  • Fellowship with Homeschooling Friends!
We hope that this meeting will be a blessing to your family as you seek to educate your children for God's glory. See you next Tuesday!

New to TEACH? Our monthly meetings are always open to members and non-members alike. Visiting is a great time to meet other homeschooling families, and to find out more about TEACH! Please visit the welcome table when you arrive so that we can meet you!

To present a person from history at the Living History Fair on February 23rd, sign up here! The fair is open to TEACH Members AND non-members, and spots are first come first serve.

If you can’t participate in this year’s fair, we would still love for you to attend as our guest. It will be a great night of educational fun for the whole family!

January 2016 Meeting on Tuesday, 1/26!

Happy New Year!
We are excited to get back into the swing of things as the spring semester begins!

We will get things started at our January 26th meeting with our annual visit from Dr. Les Emhof, homeschooling father and medical doctor. The "Dr. Emhof Meeting' is always a favorite! As always, the meeting will be at Piedmont Park Alliance Church. The library will open at 6:00pm and the meeting will begin at 7:00pm.
In addition to our guest speaker, our January meeting will feature the TEACH library as well as Spring Field Trip announcements!
We will also discuss how to sign up for our Living History Fair which will our February 23rd meeting.  Similar to a Science or Geography Fair, students participating in the Living History Fair can prepare a display as well as dress in period costume of the historical character they are portraying. It will be a fun opportunity for students to share about a person from history that they have been learning about this year!
We look forward to seeing you there!

12/1 TEACH Meeting: December Social!

It's been a great year so far! We have really enjoyed getting to know so many of you!

Since this time of year gets so busy, we are combining the November and December meetings into one. We hope you will join us for the December Social on Tuesday, December 1st at Piedmont Park Alliance Church.

Often, meetings and field trips pass by so quickly with little time to meet other homeschool families or enjoy fellowship with old friends. So bring a snack or dessert, load up the whole family, and come out to the December Social!

There will be:

- The TEACH Library
- Spring Field Trip Announcements
- 2016 Events Information
- Food
- Fellowship

We hope to see you there!

p.s. Non-members are always welcome at our monthly meetings! It is a great way to find out more information about TEACH and to meet other local homeschooling families as well. Please stop by the welcome table when you arrive and say hello!
